Internship - Getting involved in promoting physical activity & nutrition among Latinos
The San Diego Prevention Research Center's primary research focus is to evaluate community-based efforts to promote physical activity to reduce Latino health disparities. The San Diego Prevention Research Center and its community partner organizations are looking for interested students to help promote physical activity and nutrition in the Latino Community.
Be part of a team of researchers, interns, and community members!
Opportunities may include:
- Get involved working with community organizations to promote physical activity
- Planning workshops and conferences
- Engaging in social marketing & health communication efforts for community organizations
- Program and intervention development or implementation
- Data entry and analysis
- And many more!
- Opportunities available for individuals of any experience level
Benefits:
- Gain experience working with community based organizations in South San Diego

- Obtain volunteer, internship, and/or fieldwork hours
- Opportunity to receive a professional or graduate school recommendation
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 hours/week for a semester
- Personal transportation (some organizations are located in Chula Vista or San Ysidro)
- Bilingual: English-Spanish preferred
